New World Symphony
When Michael Tilson Thomas and Ted Arison founded the New World Symphony in 1987, they gave America much more than a unique and first of its kind full-time orchestral academy which prepares talented graduates from the top music programs around the world to assume leadership positions in orchestras and ensembles around the world. The program has been highly successful and the New World Symphony campus will be Frank Gehry’s (first commission in Florida) promises to result in a new landmark for American culture, attracting global attention from architecture, art, and music aficionados alike.
